Sophie and Caleb tied the knot on the beautiful hills of Kauri Bay Boomrock on a sunny afternoon in May 2023.

Sophie had originally touched base with me when she was organising a work event up at Kauri Bay Boomrock. I think secretly she was putting the venue and other vendors through a trial run disguised as a work event. Thankfully we passed the test and shortly after the work function we were recruited to plan Sophie and Caleb’s wedding florals. The vibe of the florals was to be elegant and warm with a relaxed, minimal Autumnal feel. The mood was a soft sherbet palette, that was bold and full of florals, we decided to use a very small amount of greenery to let the colours blend and play beautifully together. Sophie particularly loved dahlias as all the images she sent me were of big juicy dahlias, unfortunately, we missed the season by a few weeks but made up for it with stunning roses, gladioli and tulips to name a few.

For the ceremony we created an intimate space were the floral arrangements floated on clear plinths allowing the view to still be part of the scene. Inside the venue the tables were set with bud vases, low dishes of blooms and gorgeous coloured candles creating a festive yet elegant setting.
