Becky and Andy had been buying Branch and Bloom bouquets for special occasions for a few years prior to their wedding, so when it came to choosing a florist they had already had my number on speed dial.

These two are super relaxed and delightful people, nothing could phase them in the lead up to their big day. They had wrestled through lockdowns and covid disapointments, some really special people couldn’t be there due to NZ’s crazy managed isolation lottery. Even on the morning of their wedding there was some unheard of strike on the harbour bridge which meant getting to the Officer’s Mess from the city was a logistical nightmare. These two cool cats just rolled with the punches and still had an utterly wonderful day.

The Officer’s Mess is a stunning venue with perfect views across to Rangitoto, for the ceremony we floralled up a lush large corner in white and sage green blooms to frame Becky and Andy. We flanked the start of the aisle with two large arrangements that sat atop two barrels.

Inside, we added two large bar arrangements and a gorgeous central piece to each table.

The overall effect was romantic, lush, a little rustic while still giving a nod to tradition.

It was a pleasure to work with Becky and Andy in creating their beautiful day.
