When I get asked to help on a January wedding the answer is usually “no sorry”, as that is when I get to spend quality time with my three children over their summer holidays. However, every now and then a brief hits my inbox that excites me more than hanging out with my children, Selbi and Jordan’s wedding was exactly that.

" We are getting married at Muriwai estate at the end of January and we are having an intimate ceremony for only 30 people followed by an Italian style, al fresco dinner.' 

They wanted a really polished look with nothing trailing and very little greenery. For the ceremony we created a large ceremony nest which was set up the front lawn of the Estate over looking Muriwai Beach. It was a perfect January blue sky day and the colours of the Estate, the florals, the ocean, the grasses and the sky all looked like a painting.

The tables were set with floral mounds that billowed like clouds down the centre of the long table.

There was so much to love about this intimate wedding and I often find myself looking back through the beautiful images that Tom Hollow took.
